Background
90,000 Sq Ft
A mixed-use building in central London integrated IBOS into the whole building’s infrastructure, including the Building Management System (BMS), central plant, chillers, boilers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Low-Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) systems, and extract fans.
A new metering network has been installed, incorporating sub-meters connected to the IBOS platform designed for comprehensive energy data collection throughout the entire building.
IBOS wireless indoor air quality sensors were installed throughout the building, enabling real-time air quality monitoring and immediate response capabilities.
Insights
The cause of the out-of-hours energy spike was identified, and optimisation rules were implemented in the central plant to address this issue.
“Since integrating IBOS, we have seen significant improvements in operational efficiency, with notable reductions in energy use and costs. The system’s insights have been key to our Net Zero commitment, and we plan to expand its use across other systems to further enhance sustainability and savings.” – Building manager
