Putney Exchange Shopping Centre is retail destination in the heart of Putney, South West London, offering a vibrant and welcoming shopping environment. Home to 44 stores, including a flagship Waitrose & Partners supermarket, the centre underwent a £10 million redevelopment completed in May 2014 to further enhance the customer experience. IBOS has been fully integrated across the building’s infrastructure, supporting improved operational performance and smarter building management throughout the site.

Insights

Our review at Putney Exchange Shopping Centre revealed several opportunities to improve system performance and alignment with intended strategies. We identified irregular operation across key assets including air handling units, pumps, and chillers, as well as signal inconsistencies and extended run times. These insights create a strong foundation for optimisation, helping the centre reduce unnecessary energy use and support a more consistent, comfortable environment for occupiers and visitors.

“Since integrating IBOS, we have seen significant improvements in operational efficiency, with notable reductions in energy use and costs. The system’s insights have been key to our Net Zero commitment, and we plan to expand its use across other systems to further enhance sustainability and savings.” – Building manager
