Background

139,043 Sq Ft

A corporate office block in Uxbridge integrated IBOS into the whole building’s infrastructure, including the Building Management System (BMS), central plant, chillers, boilers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Low-Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) systems, and extract fans.

Energy metering data was captured for analysis.

Insights

The cause of the large out-of-hours energy usage was identified, and optimisation rules were implemented to reduce this energy consumption during non-operational hours.

Further optimisation rules were subsequently applied to enhance energy efficiency, which included the optimisation of the running times of the plant.

Additionally, efficiencies were identified to reduce the impact on energy consumption due to the 24/7 occupation of a single floor in the building.

“The detailed analytics provided by IBOS have enhanced our operational strategy, delivering significant reductions in energy consumption and expenditure. Incredibly, the savings achieved within the first year allowed us to recover 100% of the installation cost in the first few months”– Property Manager
