Background

32,498 Sq Ft

A corporate office block in central London integrated IBOS into the whole building’s infrastructure, including the Building Management System (BMS), central plant, chillers, boilers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Low-Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) systems, and extract fans.

IBOS Indoor Air Quality sensors are installed throughout the building, allowing for real-time Air Quality Monitoring and response.

IBOS ‘Engage’ occupier App to be installed for occupier engagement.

Insights

The identification of an incorrect setup on the AHU revealed the cause of high energy use.

Additionally, faults in the boiler system were identified, causing it to operate 24/7 despite the BMS instructing the boilers to work only within operating hours.

Optimisation of plant operation was carried out, providing increased energy savings.
