2024 Recap

2024: A year of progress and impact

Before we step into a new year filled with opportunities, we’re taking a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come. 2024 has been a year of meaningful progress for IBOS, marked by innovation, and growth and tangible impact.

Our milestones & achievements

This year, IBOS continued to drive efficiencies across commercial real estate, managing over 12 million sq. ft. of space. To date, our efforts have prevented 6.6 million kg of Co2 from entering the atmosphere, the equivalently of powering the London Underground for 5 days. We’ve also helped our clients save over £7.4 million in energy costs, reducing consumption by 31.7 kWh across all of our sites – enough to power 3.1 million UK households, for a day.

These milestones reflect our commitment to helping businesses navigate real estate challenges with smarter, more efficient solutions that deliver value and support long-term strategic objectives.

Exploring our fresh look

In early October, we launched our brand-new website – the very platform you’re exploring today – featuring our refreshed branding throughout. But, this launch represents more than just a digital upgrade; it reflects of our commitment to clearly communicating who we are, what we stand for, and where we’re headed as a team.

It also makes it easier than ever to connect with us, whether you’re looking to explore our services or book an introductory call.

We put in countless hours to refine our brand identity, further strengthening our mission and vision. Creating this platform was a significant milestone for us, offering an opportunity to showcase our mission, values, and expertise while providing insights into our team and operations.

Our new website is a hub for innovation, updates, and fresh perspectives – just like this one!

Expansion of IBOS

This year, our team continued to grow.

In July, we welcomed Chris Worsnop as Senior Intelligent Buildings Data Analyst. With a wealth of experience in monitoring energy usage within the real estate industry, Chris leads on the development of the Workman Energy Hub, applying his data analytics expertise to create smarter, more efficient solutions.

In October, Tallulah May joined us as our Building Technology Administrator. Tallulah plays a key role in maintaining optimal building operations, supporting our mission to delivering efficient, high-performance spaces.

This year, our presence in the industry was more prominent than ever. By bringing in fresh expertise and diverse perspectives, we have enhanced our capabilities and are now ready to carry on expanding and welcome more specialists onto the IBOS team .

Taking the lead

James Hallworth, Director at IBOS, took centre stage at the Re-Leased People Together panel event where he shared valuable insights on the future of real estate and automation, and explored “what’s next in CRE Innovation?”

Here is what really struck James during the discussion:

” The buzz around AI, cloud solutions, and digital transformation was clear . But the reality is, without strong data foundations, even the best technology falls short . Rushing to adopt new tools often leads to messy data , poor integrations, and frustrated teams reverting to old processes. At IBOS, we focus on simplifying operations, ensuring seamless integration and empowering teams to make innovation work.”

James also hosted the Impact Tribe at BWT UK by Space+, where he engaged with industry leaders on key trends and innovations shaping the sector. The main discussion centered on smart technology’s role in ESG, optimising buildings for improved energy efficiency, and enhancing occupier well-being.

Another standout moment this year was Workman being recognised as ESG Agency of the Year. This achievement underscores our collective commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and responsible asset management. It reinforces our dedication to embedding ESG principles across our operations and further solidifies IBOS’s position as a leader in industry best practices

At IBOS, socials are an essential part of our culture. We believe that stepping out of the usual work environment allows us to connect in a relaxed, informal setting, fostering stronger relationships and enhancing communication.
